Administrative Support Specialist

General Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to staff, faculty, and students, including answering phones, managing emails, and maintaining

office supplies.

Event Support: Assisting in the planning and coordination of events

Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff who interact with the department or office.

Communication: Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.

Organizational Skills: Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding time frames.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Additional Assignments: Will be assigned other duties on the day-to-day basis

Preferred Skills:

Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Ability to maintain tracking systems, electronic and/or paper filing system.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate with departmental staff, management, and other campus staff.

Ability to follow directions and work effectively as a team member to attain organizational objectives
