Mandarin Chinese Teacher/Teaching Assistant (Part-Time)

Key qualifications: 

1. Eligible to work in the U.S. 

2. Native Mandarin Chinese speaker. Able to write Simplified or Traditional Chinese. 

3. Fluent in speaking English 

4. At least junior college students. 

5. Be patient with students and enthusiastic in teaching. 

6. Experience in Mandarin language teaching (preferred). 

7.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 

8. Must pass a LiveScan (FBI/DOJ fingerprinting) background check 

Key Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct teaching or tutoring, review homework, discern individual student’s difficulties and adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs, promoting confidence and academic/social growth. 

2. Evaluate students’ academic and social progress and prepare progress reports. 

Job Type: Part-time 

Pay: Hourly rate depending on the experiences 

Locations:  Looking for teachers who live in the South Bay area, including but not limited to:

El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Harbor City, Harbor Gateway, San Pedro, Wilmington, Hawthorne, Gardena, Lawndale, Lomita, Carson, and Inglewood.

Work Schedule: Must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week between 3 PM and 8 PM on any 5 weekdays, plus Saturday mornings.
