Digital Editorial Intern

The Editorial Intern – Digital will work closely with our editorial team under the Digital Editor to help extend the magazine’s voice and presence across online e platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in digital journalism, social media, and magazine publishing to gain real-world experience in a professional media environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Email Newsletter Support:

Assist in creating and scheduling weekly e-newsletters using Mailchimp

Website Content Management:

Format and upload stories to our website using WordPress

Social Media Engagement:

Draft and schedule posts for Instagram and other social platforms

Help brainstorm and produce creative content (Reels, Stories, carousel posts)

Editorial & Research Assistance:

Pitch story ideas relevant to Coral Gables and our readership

Write stories on deadline for publication

Qualifications:

Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills

Familiarity with WordPress, Mailchimp, and social media platforms (especially Instagram) is a plus, but not a necessity 

Interest in digital media, journalism, and lifestyle content

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment

Basic photo editing or graphic design skills (Canva, CapCut) are a plus

Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Journalism, Communications, or related program

Internship Details:

Minimum of 10–15 hours per week

Hybrid work model with weekly Monday morning meetings (possibility to work around your schedule)

Opportunity to build a published portfolio and gain experience in a professional newsroom

School credit available upon request
