Database Administration Intern
Position Title: 2025 Database Administration (DBA) Intern
Department: Global Technology Organization (GTO)
Federated Hermes Summer Internship Program provides students the opportunity to gain “hands on” experience and develop professional skills as well as the ability to network with talented professionals and gain insight into career possibilities within the asset management industry. The program includes a variety of events to enhance your internship experience, provide information about the firm and foster collaboration.
Major Duties:
- Participate in projects and/or team meetings.
- Participate in a firm-wide intern “Hack-a-thon”
- Assist with maintaining department documentation on SharePoint
- Write OEM monitoring scripts
- Fulfill access requests as identified in ESS
- Perform audit related tasks as assigned
- Complete support work in SSRS reporting environment
- Manage simple turnovers for system changes
- Involvement in basic project work
Hours/Location:
- 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday during the summer
- Internship available in our Warrendale, PA 15086 location (hybrid work arrangement)
Explanatory Comments:
- Good analytical skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Position Specifications:
- May work with both SQL and / or Oracle DBA teams
- In pursuit of a two or four year degree related to Computer Science, Information Technology or comparable degree required
- 3.0 QPA preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Windows and Office products required
- Course work or hands-on experience in database management preferred
