Operations Intern

The Gasparilla Distance Classic Association (GDCA) has an open position for a paid Operations intern! 

In this position, you will be working closely with the Operations Manager, Executive Director and the GDCA Team. Assisting with a number of tasks including, but not limited to, inventory management, organization and execution of plans for the Publix Too Good for Drugs Jr. Gasparilla Distance Classic, event operations for the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic Race Weekend (15k, 5k, Half Marathon, and 8k), and assisting in communication between the GDCA staff, vendors, and community groups. You will gain knowledge and experience in the Non-Profit sector, as well as in the participant sports market, specifically the road race industry. 

Formed in 1978, the Gasparilla Distance Classic Association (GDCA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle through running and walking. Our office is located in Tampa, Florida, and the ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with a love for details and accuracy. An active student, currently enrolled in either a Graduate level program, or a junior or senior in good standing at a 4 year, accredited University or college. Please be enrolled in an approved internship program, have a minimum 2.85 GPA, and have open availability for weekends in January and February.
