Position Title: Kids in Worship Intern
Duration: January 2026 – June 2028 (1 year up to 2.5 years)
Time Commitment: 8 hours per week
Compensation: $450/month
Overview
Interns will be given the opportunity to:
- Learn how to minister in a multicultural church setting, where worship includes a variety of languages, music styles, traditions, and cultural expressions.
- Help create intergenerational services where children, youth, and adults serve together across cultural and generational lines.
- Support initiatives that celebrate cultural diversity through prayer, Scripture, song, storytelling, and service.
- Contribute to shaping a worship environment where all voices—regardless of age or background—are valued and empowered.
Roles and Responsibilities
Intern will:
- Shadow worship and children’s ministry leaders.
- Assist in creation and implementation of Intergenerational Worship Game Plan, including:
- Kids participating in adult worship (reading Scripture, leading prayer, serving as greeters, sharing testimonies, helping with music, creating visuals).
- Adults bringing worship elements into kids’ experiences (teaching Scripture, leading music, modeling prayer, sharing stories).
- Assisting with “ONE BIG FAMILY” services (quarterly intergenerational services that combine prayer, Scripture, worship, service, and interactive worship zones).
- Provide observations and recommendations for integrating worship and prayer practices.
- Collect and submit reflections from church members, pastors, worship leaders, and children.
Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate:
- A personal faith in Jesus Christ.
- The ability to articulate a call to ministry.
- Willingness to serve as part of a team.
- A teachable spirit and eagerness to learn.
- Humility in ministry leadership.
- Successful completion of a background check.
