Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
The Early Career Program (ECP) is a rotational program that introduces college graduates to METTLER TOLEDO, a leading global manufacturing company.
As an ECP Engineering Specialist, you’ll gain experience, tackle challenges, and expand your professional network and skill set while completing rotations across our 3 Columbus locations – our production facility, our distribution center, and our North American headquarters. Since rotations span several different business areas, you’ll be able to explore an array of functions such as Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and Marketing Analytics, just to name a few. You’ll create and implement process improvements to our warehouse operations, design dashboards that display real-time updates on the production floor, make automation workflows that accelerate data gathering and sharing for our sales teams, and more.

As a well-established rotational program that has been in operation for over 35 years, ECP boasts a robust alumni network of leaders throughout the company dedicated to coaching and mentoring current participants to support their long-term growth within the company. Engagement opportunities include:
- Joining a program committee
- Quarterly presentations to leadership
- Participating in on and off-site social and networking opportunities
- Professional development seminars and community service events
- Mentoring a summer intern
Duties and Responsibilities May Include:
- Design processes for providing business units globally with data quality reports.
- Review data policies, business rules (SharePoint), and migration checks for alignment and add additional checks to enhance data quality.
- Design and coordinate build/rollout of updated SAP Data Request Process in Service Now (our IT Ticketing system) to include additional processes and improve workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on the development of a new terminal for the Industrial market. This includes hardware and software system testing, application development and technical writing.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports weekly for on time delivery data; Design visualizations to facilitate proactively using the analysis to improve on-time delivery.
- Develop model using SAP data to forecast weight and/or volume of product shipped between key locations; Data sources could include historical, current, and forecasted data in SAP; Determine the appropriate inputs and outputs; Develop plan to implement report using Excel template, HANA report, etc.
- Design software tools that could be used to compare the features of competitive products.
- Partner on the development of a software tool for calibration reporting. This includes requirements documentation, software testing and supporting field users during a beta test phase.
- Pilot Lean Six Sigma projects to analyze fleet spend to reduce costs, and reduce the time to invoice service orders.

What You Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited four-year college or university
- Familiarity with, or interest in learning SAP. Must graduate by May 2026.
- Excellent Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Experience with one or more coding languages would be an asset.
- A global perspective, analytical mind set, and a flexible, open approach to learning our business from the ground up
- Strong communication skills to interact successfully with our local and international teams
- A take-charge attitude to your responsibilities, as demonstrated by on or off-campus leadership experience
- A willingness to go the extra mile for others, displayed through current involvement in community service or a volunteer organization
- The ability to begin working full-time in Columbus, OH in June 2026
