Employment Program Assistant

Program Staff for Community Development Block Grant Programs

The Program Staff for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) initiatives provides direct support for individuals seeking employment and training opportunities. This role assists participants in accessing job readiness resources, connecting with employers, and navigating programs that promote long-term economic stability while ensuring compliance with CDBG requirements.

  • Conducts Intakes and develops Individual Employment Plans and Training Plans with clients.
  • Conducts job development and job search activities directed to positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of each client’s situation.
  • Travel to partner agencies to meet with clients and provide training, job search assistance, and application support. 
  • Works with clients on interview skills and completing applications.  
  • Makes follow-up calls and updates files. 
  • Maintains all physical files, database, and other reporting requirements. 
  • Performs any other acts that may be necessary, proper, or desirable to carry out effectively the duties and responsibilities of the position.
