Summer 2026 MBA Investment Banking Associate

The firm is seeking a 2026 Summer MBA Associate for its Minneapolis office. In addition to strong interest in Minneapolis, the ideal candidate is driven, but team-oriented with an innate curiosity about deal-making and how businesses are organized and operate. Candidates must be graduating with their MBA in 2026 to be eligible for this internship.

 

The Summer MBA Associate program is a 10-12 week in-person experience based in Minneapolis. This is not a remote program. The ideal candidate has connections to, or an interest in, working in Minneapolis.

 

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing businesses and preparing various marketing materials for pitching new business and executing client engagements
  • Constructing and reviewing financial and valuation models
  • Analyzing and explaining historical and projected financial information
  • Contributing to the planning of client engagements
  • Performing due diligence on a business and coordinating and organizing that work for others’ use
  • Managing clients, buyers, lenders, and third-party providers throughout the deal execution process
  • Building relationships and maintaining direct contact with clients, prospective clients, buyers and professional advisors

 

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing an MBA degree with anticipated graduation in Spring/Summer 2027
  • Bachelor's degree with exceptional history of academic achievement
  • Professional working experience in a relevant occupation (e.g., attorney, transaction services pro, consultant, etc.)
  • Comfort with, and interest in, writing and formatting marketing materials
  • Appropriate familiarity with general business, accounting and financial topics
  • Capable with financial modeling and Microsoft business programs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment under demanding schedules
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership qualities
  • Personal responsibility, integrity, self-discipline, and pride in your work product
  • Must be willing to reside in Minnesota
