Position Type: Part Time - some weekends

1208 Washington Place: 1208 Washington is a hidden jewel located in the heart of Downtown Columbia. Our unique venue dates back to 1924 and has been added to the list of historic buildings in Columbia and The National Historic Register. This breathtaking venue was originally The First National Bank, operating from 1924 until 1994. With the original bank vaults and board room, 1208 Washington Place makes for a perfect venue for social events, corporate meetings, receptions, and more.

 

Job Description: 

As the Sales and Event Coordinator you would assist the Sales and Venue Manager with booking new events and managing existing clients. Some of your responsibilities will include:

Answering phone calls from new clients and gathering the necessary information for their event

Responding to inquiries across multiple platforms

Assisting the Sales manager with tours and bookings

Assisting with walkthroughs prior to the events

  • Some weekends you will need to be onsite for the beginning of events or set-up to ensure the venue and clients are set up for success for event day
