Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Manager to lead the planning, permitting, and execution of our EV charging and LED lighting installations. This role combines bridges the field of sustainability with operations, compliance, and research by ensuring each project aligns with local regulations, qualifies for state and utility rebates, and is delivered on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage multiple EV and lighting infrastructure projects concurrently from site survey through installation and closeout.
- Coordinate project schedules, resources, and vendors to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Arrange for site logistics including dumpsters, storage pods, recycling efforts, and materials delivery.
- Track job progress and resolve any site or logistical issues in real time.
- Coordinate with operations team on inventory
Permit Management
- Research and identify permit requirements for EV charging stations and lighting infrastructure projects (e.g., electrical, zoning, construction).
- Prepare and submit permit applications to appropriate municipalities and follow through to approval.
- Liaise with permitting authorities and ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
Rebate & Incentive Administration
- Research available federal, state, and utility company rebates and incentive programs for EV charging infrastructure and energy-efficient lighting.
- Prepare and file rebate applications with utility companies and government agencies.
- Track rebate statuses and ensure proper documentation for audits or reimbursement.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Schedule and manage electrical contractors, equipment suppliers, and site service vendors.
- Work closely with internal teams (engineering, procurement, finance) to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients and partners, providing regular updates and progress reports.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in project management,
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree in Construction Management, Electrical Technology, Renewable Energy Technology, Facilities Management, Sustainable Design or Energy Systems
Preferred:
- Experience managing construction projects
- Prior experience working for an EV installation company is a plus
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training. Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) – PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) – PMICertified Construction Manager (CCM) – CMAA, Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
