Data Scientist

Seeking an experienced data scientist to join our team. We are looking for experienced candidates with expertise in data science and machine learning with significant hands-on experience in dealing with real world data. 
 

Responsibilities

1. Apply various machine learning techniques (modern and traditional) to solve challenging problems related to learning engineering, assessment, psychometrics, recommendation systems, etc. No single candidate will be an expert in all of these diverse fields. The ideal candidate will have experience in one of these areas and have familiarity with and an open mind to learn about the other areas. 
2. Use statistical methods to analyze data arising from games, simulations, websites and apps to derive actionable insights.
3. Comfortable working in different industries, but all related to human training and certification, including manufacturing, healthcare, education and finance. Rapidly learn new problem domains by working with domain experts and subject matter experts.
4. Work closely with engineers at our partner companies in the US and Asia. Partner companies may include leading software and hardware vendors.
5. Ensure thorough quality testing and documentation of the software developed.
6. Constantly learn and innovate to stay on the cutting edge of knowledge and skills. 
    

Qualifications

1. MS or PhD in statistics, computer science, math or engineering. 
2. Solid conceptual foundation. Deep knowledge of statistics and machine learning.
3. Strong hands-on skills in one or more of the following areas: LLM/VLM, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Neural Networks, Tensor Flow/Pytorch, Data Visualization, PCA(Principal Component Analysis) etc.
4. Software engineering experience with front and/or backend languages and technologies is a strong plus.
5. Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and written & verbal communication skills.
6. Must be a great team player.
