Stutsman Logistics, Inc. is looking for a Logistics Support Specialist to join our team on-site, daily at our Cedar Rapids, Iowa location.

About the Job

As the Logistics Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the account management and customer service teams to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. This is a team-based role that supports a variety of department processes including order data entry, scheduling, track and tracing loads, and driver pick-up and delivery. Ideal candidates will have strong relationship building, communication, and organization skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer load tenders and enter new load tenders in the company TMS
  • Communicate customer changes and needs to account management, carrier management, and sales teams
  • Utilize the company TMS to create location and customer profiles and maintain accurate records of all account contact data and interactions, updating as needed
  • Assist in confirming accurate track and trace updates are received from carriers, Carrier Managers, and Drivers and clearly communicate updates to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Enter customer shipment information into the TMS and update pick-up and/or delivery schedules, as needed
  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments with customers
  • Assist management with identifying areas for process, procedure, and technological improvements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • Possesses working knowledge of Office 365 products
  • 1 year of prior knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry is preferred, but not required
  • Prior experience with a TMS or CRM is preferred, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, that can be used for a variety of audiences
  • Ability to problem solve and determine alternative solutions when necessary, allowing for prompt completion of work
  • Strong attention to detail that can be seen by a high level of accuracy through work
  • Exceptional time management and personal organization abilities
  • Ability to professionally interact and collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background investigation
