COUNTRY Financial Crop Underwriting Intern

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze MPCI and Crop Hail policy changes using underwriting guidelines and federal program rules (e.g., RMA guidelines).
- Evaluate risk factors such as crop type, acreage, historical yields, and farming practices to ensure proper classification and pricing.
- Communicate with agents and internal teams to resolve underwriting questions and ensure accurate policy processing.
- Assist in interpreting and applying state and federal crop insurance regulations to underwriting decisions.
- Support the agency field by answering questions about coverage options, rates, and program deadlines.
- Analyze reports and data to identify trends, flag inconsistencies, and recommend underwriting actions.
- Use sound judgment and data to authorize exceptions to underwriting rules when appropriate.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and automation efforts within the crop underwriting team.
