Our firm represents clients before various organizations, including U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Department of State, the Immigration Courts, and federal courts.

Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and driven Law Student Intern to join our legal team. This role is ideal for a second or third-year law student interested in gaining hands-on experience in immigration law. You will support either our Removal Defense Team, Affirmative Immigration Team, or Federal Litigation Team, depending on your background and interests.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will be supportive in nature, giving you a chance to learn from and assist our attorneys in their daily tasks. This includes:
- Legal Research and Writing: Researching legal arguments and drafting memos, briefs, and motions.
- Case Preparation: Assisting with the preparation of case filings, applications, and appeals.
- Client Support: Helping with client consultations and drafting affidavits.
- Administrative Tasks: Supporting attorneys with various administrative duties and file management.
Removal Defense Team Support
- Assisting with preparing and filing claims for Asylum, Cancellation of Removal, and Adjustment of Status.
- Helping draft appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Attend at least two trials.
Affirmative Immigration Team Support
- Assisting with preparing and filing applications such as family-based petitions, Naturalization, Affirmative Asylum, VAWA, T-visas, U-visas, etc.
- Supporting the business immigration team by assisting with applications for visas like O visas, H1B visas, and other Non-Immigrant visas.
Federal Litigation Team Support
- Helping identify potential federal court claims.
- Assisting with drafting filings for federal district court, including writs of habeas corpus, mandamus, and appeals.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a J.D. program at a US-accredited law school, with preference for second or third-year students.
- Proficient in Spanish (preferred).
- Strong legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Professional demeanor with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Completion of Constitutional Law and Immigration Law courses (preferred).

Compensation & Benefits
This is a paid internship. Compensation will be competitive and based on experience.
