Transportation Transit Planning Internship
We have a career opportunity for a Transportation Transit Planning intern in our Tampa office! This position will work under the guidance of a Senior Planner and/or Project Manager and has the opportunity for great career progression, working on challenging projects.
Location
This position will report to our Tampa office each day.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Support project analysis and technical reports.
- Perform data collection and field observations.
- Assist with planning activities relative to service area.
- Prepare maps and assist in spatial analyses, prepare written summaries of analyses.
- Assist in preparation of maps, graphics and presentation materials.
- Assist and support with the public involvement process.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering, Urban Planning, City and Regional Planning Geography, Public Policy, or related degree.
- Knowledge of transit planning and operations.
- Basic knowledge of transportation and transit planning concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Eager to learn tools and software required for more complex transit technical analyses.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in GIS data development, analysis, and programming with Microsoft applications and eager to learn tools and software required for more complex transit technical analyses.
- Intermediate knowledge of other graphic tools to prepare maps, infographics, exhibits and charts as well as public involvement processes and techniques.
