What you’ll do
Gain practical experience in working with sustainability focused business projects which may include but are not limited to: upskilling yourself and colleagues, collaborating with customers, engaging with lifecycle assessments and communication of value propositions
Learn about current and upcoming regulations and how businesses decide and engage in advocacy efforts in support of business objectives
Market strategy evaluations for lowest environmental impact solution identification
Review and engagement with government affairs on upcoming legislative impacts
Communication of value proposition of promote products and/or activities that reduce GHG emissions
What makes you a good fit
An undergraduate student graduating in 2027 or 2028 or a master’s / graduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science
Demonstrated interest through coursework, projects, or personal motivation in environmental impact and sustainability
Willingness to learn and collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and levels of sustainability expertise
Strong communication skills; English proficiency required (written and verbal)
Data analysis expertise with the ability to translate findings into actionable insights
Prior experience in government or administrative advocacy is a plus

This internship is NOT eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
Henkel’s Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August.
Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.

The salary for this role is $22-$27/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
