Software Engineering Intern, Summer 2026

Yamaha Corporation, Musical Instruments & Audio Products Business Unit, located in Hamamatsu, Japan, offers challenging engineering internships and we are looking for versatile and talented interns to join the Development Groups. These are paid internships and will provide real-life Product Design R&D experience at one of the largest and most dynamic musical instruments and professional audio product manufacturers in the world! 

Internships will be conducted in Hamamatsu, Japan (the city of History, Music & Industry, is only 90 minutes from Tokyo & Osaka.), and the length will be approximately 12 weeks:

May to September, 2026, 2 intern(s)

Yamaha Product Development Division is looking for:

  • Senior or Masters Students in engineering, computer science, physical sciences, and/or mathematics.
  • Interns with one of the following:
    • Ability to play musical instruments, experience in music production, reading music, composition, arrangements, music theory, MIDI.
    • Experience in sound reinforcement, recording, live mixing, audio processing, and DAW.
    • Experience in home audio & video system integration, custom installation, movie editing, soundtrack production, and audio & video product evaluation.
    • Experience in local area network design, administration, traffic analysis, security, and troubleshooting.
    • Experience in Web App development, Web service design and operation, Web hosting, and iOS/ Android App development.
  • Experience with Japanese Language desirable

  • S2) Software Engineering Intern - DMI Music Learning Support App
