Position Summary:
The Student Assistant supports the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program and Nursing Skills and Simulation Lab by providing assistance to faculty, staff, and students. This position involves helping with program needs involving equipment and supplies, preparing for instructional activities, and promoting a safe and organized learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist faculty and staff with preparation and cleanup of lab and simulation activities.
- Set up and organize lab equipment, manikins, and supplies prior to student practice sessions.
- Restock and maintain an inventory of lab materials, ensuring supplies are readily available.
- Perform routine cleaning and care of manikins, simulators, and other equipment.
- Monitor the lab environment to ensure safety, organization, and compliance with lab policies.
- Assist with troubleshooting minor equipment issues and report maintenance needs to lab staff.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, labeling, data entry, and recordkeeping and any other duties as assigned by the program director to prompt positive outcomes for the ADN program.
- Promote a respectful, collaborative, and professional learning atmosphere.

- Current enrollment as a student in good academic standing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Dependability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Work Schedule:
Part-time; hours vary based on program needs, student schedule, and faculty assignments. Some evening hours may be required.
