Podcast/Video Editor
• Ingest & organize: Offload cards, checksum/verify, and maintain a clean folder +
naming system for 3-camera footage, screen captures, and external audio.
• Sync & multicam: Build multicam sequences (timecode/slate/waveform), select angles,
and switch for story, energy, and continuity.
• Edit & assemble: Tighten interviews, craft cold opens/act breaks, and align audio/video
to keep lip-sync locked.
• Sound design & mix: Repair noise (RX/Auphonic), EQ/compress/dialog level; deliver
podcast-safe loudness (~-16 LUFS stereo / ~-19 mono) and streaming-safe mixes.
• Color & finishing: Match exposure/white balance across cameras; apply LUTs; perform
primary/secondary corrections for a consistent Rec.709 look.
• Graphics & captions: Add lower thirds, title cards, end slates; generate SRT captions
and clean transcripts; burn-in captions for social shorts.
• Deliverables:
◦ Full-length episode (16:9, 1080p/4K).
◦ Cut-downs & reels (9:16 vertical, 1:1 square, 16:9 clips).
◦ Thumbnails, show notes, and chapter markers (YouTube).
• QC & export: Catch glitches, dropped frames, drift, and mismatched room tone; export
with the right codecs (ProRes/DNx/H.264) and bitrates.
• Workflow & collaboration: Use proxies for smooth editing; keep assets versioned;
follow a simple post checklist from ingest → edit → review → master → archive.
