Metro Atlanta Recovery Residences (MARR) is a long term treatment program for men & women struggling with the disease of addiction. We are hiring a Part time LPN/CNA.

We are looking for a licensed nurse who wants to make a difference in the lives of adults who are struggling with the disease of addiction. Our program is designed to provide the lifestyle changes needed to achieve & maintain long term recovery.

Our nurses are an integral part of the treatment team & work closely with clinical & medical to provide the best opportunity for the women we treat. The perfect candidate has strong communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport & trust with our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes the nursing assessment on clients which includes their medical/chemical dependency history.
  • Communicates recommendations to clinical and medical teams about any significant medical/clinical concerns.
  • Completes client records accurately, legibly and timely. Notes verbal/written orders per the psychiatrist/NP.
  • Reviews the client’s treatment plans and provides medical insights for managed care clinical evaluations during Treatment Team meetings.
  • Provides on-site services such as PPD, blood draw, vital signs, urine dipstick tests, INSTI HIV test, etc. Keeps track of and assesses the quality of services from contract labs. Reviews lab test results with physician/NP and follows up as necessary. Updates EMR with lab results.
  • Supervises patient self-administration of medications and enters in KIPU/EMR.
  • Participates in quarterly Safety and Medical meetings.
  • Provides infection control quality improvement standards and outcome measures tracking.
  • Provides in-service training to staff about medical issues at least once per year.
  • Provides HIV pre- and post-education for clients, including on-site testing.
  • Arranges follow-up visits with physician or outside resources as deemed appropriate.
  • Assists in obtaining observed chain-of-custody random urine screens for clients as needed.
  • Recognizes and reports suspected abuse and neglect according to policy, procedure and law.
  • Occasionally transport clients in company vehicles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current nursing licensing as required by state
  • CPR & de-escalation required (training available upon hire)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience in substance abuse, mental health or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct nursing assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Coordinate medical evaluations and follow-ups.
  • Administer and supervise medication per policy.
  • Provide on-site medical services and health education.
  • Oversee lab work, urine drug screens, and infection control.
  • Participate in treatment planning and medical staff meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Active nursing license
