Training and Development Specialist

Job Title: Training and Development Specialist

Location: Wichita Falls, TX

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 per year

Position Summary:
The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing programs that support team members' professional growth and development. This includes creating and leading the training and development path for new hires and current team members, with emphasis on our Advisor team and participants in our Advisor Apprentice Academy. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in teaching and developing adults and will be passionate about driving success through education and training.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Design and Implementation:
    Develop new and enhance existing comprehensive training programs that address the needs of new hires and existing team members, ensuring alignment with firm goals and objectives.
  • Advisor Apprentice Academy:
    Lead the development path for participants in the Advisor Apprentice Academy, providing tailored training and guidance to prepare them for successful careers.
  • Team Member Development:
    Assess the professional growth needs of team members and create personalized development plans that encourage skill enhancement and career advancement. As well as leading Semi-Annual Professional Development Meetings for all team members. 
  • KPI Tracking:

             Maintain systems to identify and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all team              members, using this data to inform training and development strategies and ensure                alignment with firm objectives.

  • Facilitation and Instruction:
    Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, and seminars for team members at all levels, utilizing various teaching methods and technologies.
  • Evaluation and Feedback:
    Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, gathering feedback to continuously improve and adapt content and approach to meet evolving needs.
  • Mentorship and Coaching:
    Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering a supportive environment that encourages learning and development.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with department heads and leadership to identify training needs and align programs with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and development, with a focus on adult learning.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire employees to achieve their professional goals.
  • Proficiency in using training software and tools.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or similar is a plus.
