Afterschool Academic Tutor
Job Summary
JEI Learning Center is hiring passionate and motivated educators to teach elementary (K–5) and middle school (6–8) students for the 2025–2026 school year including June to August for the summer program. This is a long-term opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping students achieve their academic goals in a supportive, small-group environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Teach English and Math to small groups (5–7 students) or in occasional 1-on-1 tutoring sessions.
- Provide homework help, ensuring students complete assignments on time and with accuracy.
- Grade JEI programmed workbooks (answer keys provided).
- Monitor student progress and provide performance feedback to administrators.
- Assist with light administrative tasks when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Responsible, patient, and adaptable individuals with a passion for education.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is preferred but not required (training provided).
- High school seniors, undergraduates, or graduates pursuing degrees in education/teaching are welcome to apply.
- Availability: Weekdays (Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–6:00/7:00 PM) and optional Saturdays (9:00 AM–4:00 PM) during the school year and Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm or 9am to 12pm during the summer from 7/06/26 to 8/21/26, optional work until 8/28/26.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 21 per week
