Videography
Looking for an intern who would like the experience of learning how to add static and dynamic visual recordings of events and curriculum to the Empowerteen program through Videography Editing and Production.
An understanding of what would draw the attention of the teenage population and their parents into learning more about this beneficial program through photos, videos, audio, and short educational, promotional, and inspirational movies would make you an ideal candidate.
The intern will be learning producing, directing, and editing for media content and curriculum through projects such as:
-photo slideshows and videos for the website and social media sites
-experience editing video productions to be uploaded to youtube and post video updates,
-learn to produce and edit teen and parent interviews and testimonial videos,
-organize and obtain paperwork for music authorizations, confirming copyrite laws, etc.
This intern will need to be discreet, kind, and have a good affect to work well with others, be proficient at and have access to photo and video equipment editing software, as well as a mind for contributing to brainstorming and strategizing ideas with the program director during each project.
Good candidate will be available by Zoom, phone and e-mail to check in on progress and able to meet deadlines for various projects. Can easily collaborate with other interns who will be working on photography and marketing/social media. Prefer a candidate who can devote time to working on projects given at least 4-10 hours weekly, and is available to follow-through on promotional projects. This internship typically runs 6-8 months.
Longer internship (up to 1 year) and more hours are available upon request.
Intern for this position will receive class credit for the work completed and have dynamic material created to add to a personal work portfolio, as well as a reference letter from Dr. Paula.
Past videographer interns have obtained paid jobs after conclusion of their internship through recommendations given by Dr. Paula to community small business owners connected to the Empowerteen professional network.
Do you have a passion for helping teens raise their self-esteem, reach their full potential and change the world? Please send a resume and letter of intent to Dr. Paula Pilcher at dr.paula@empowerteen.org
