Mindful Behavioral Care is a small, locally owned behavioral health agency serving youth across Northwest Ohio. We provide services including Case Management, Assessments, Counseling, and our Youth Day Treatment Program. We are currently seeking a Behavioral Specialist for our Youth Day Treatment Program. This role is ideal for someone who:

This position is a great fit for someone currently enrolled in a Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related program who is looking to gain hands-on experience in the mental health field.

MUST BE ABLE TO WORK: Monday -Thursday from 1-8 p.m. Summer and Holiday break hours may differ.

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND BE ABLE TO DRIVE 15 SEAT PASSENGER VAN

General Description: Responsible for facilitating group, curriculum planning, and providing transportation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience facilitating group therapy
  • Provide transportation using company van for clients to and from after school program
  • Self-Starter and well organized.
  • Ensures complete and timely documentation in client record including progress notes, referrals, and releases of information.
  • Work cooperatively with treatment team members and the family in the provision of services to meet the goals developed in the Person-Centered Plan.
  • Provide education and support to clients, family members and peers regarding behavioral health, symptom management and wellness.
  • Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and individual or group supervision as scheduled.
  • Complete required Trainings to maintain agency’s OHMAS compliancy
  • Possess a working knowledge of child/adolescent development, cultural competency, behavioral health use disorders/treatment and assessment.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, to the need of the agency deemed necessary and appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma and 1 year of experience working with children required. Bachelor’s degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related behavioral/mental health field preferred.
 

Must have a valid driver’s license and be deemed insurable through Mindful Behavioral Care's vehicle insurance carrier.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
