Chemistry Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in Chemistry that support student learning and critical thinking.
- Develop and implement laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities that promote scientific inquiry and safety.
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative assessments, providing timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, grades, and attendance.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and proper use of laboratory equipment and materials.
- Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Collaborate with science department colleagues on curriculum planning, alignment, and interdisciplinary projects.
- Support students in developing problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
- Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices in science education and curriculum standards.
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, curiosity, and a love for science.
- Serve as a classroom leader by providing high quality, differentiated instruction to students
- Set rigorous academic and behavioral goals for students and investing students in these goals
- Implement and effectively modifying instruction aligned to the district’s educational goals
- REQUIREMENTS: NJ Certification - Chemistry or Physical Science
