Marketing Internship: Content Creator Intern

Eisenhower Dance Detroit is seeking a Content Creator Intern to support the company’s marketing efforts through engaging and mission-driven digital storytelling. The Content Creator Intern is creative, media-savvy, and excited to develop content that reflects the voice and vision of a professional dance organization.
This internship provides hands-on experience in content strategy, brand communication, and multimedia creation across digital platforms.
Responsibilities
Digital Content Creation & Strategy
- Develop and schedule creative content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Write compelling captions, newsletters, blog posts, and promotional copy that reflect EDD’s mission and culture
- Assist with website content updates and blog maintenance
Media Capture & Editing
- Collaborate with dancers, staff, and leadership to capture stories, interviews, and behind-the-scenes moments
- Assist with editing short-form video content such as Reels and Stories (basic skills in Premiere Pro or similar software preferred)
Analytics & Engagement
- Monitor engagement metrics and support data-driven improvements to content strategy
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for upcoming campaigns and outreach initiatives
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Creativity and enthusiasm for storytelling through digital media
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic video/photo editing tools
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Interest in dance, arts, or nonprofit marketing is a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, etc.) or equivalent video editing and motion graphics software
