Bid Coordinator | Position Overview:
We seek a driven and detail-oriented Bid Coordinator to support our estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for current students enrolled in a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program looking to gain real-world experience in preconstruction and estimating. You’ll assist with preparing budgets, soliciting subcontractor pricing, and reviewing project plans and specifications.
Bid Coordinator | Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and addenda for completeness and accuracy
Perform quantity takeoffs for general trades and compile material and labor cost estimates
Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors and track responses. Ability and willingness to make phone calls to vendors are required for this position.
Assist with the preparation of bid proposals and cost breakdowns
Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks, as needed
Coordinate internally with project managers and field staff for constructability input
Help maintain subcontractor databases and estimating tools
Support pre-construction and project management teams as needed
Bid Coordinator | Qualifications:
Takes full ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, timely completion, and proactive communication throughout all phases of work
Holds oneself to high standards and follows through on commitments without requiring constant oversight
A degree with a focus in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related degree program is preferred
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Comfortable reading construction drawings and specifications (training provided)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bluebeam Revu or similar software
Eagerness to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Local to the Central Florida area and willing to travel to the Oviedo office:
Office Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM - 5 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM - 2 PM
