Electrical Engineer - Entry Level

SSC Engineering has a strong focus on customer satisfaction which has produced decades of repeat clients. We utilize modern engineering tools and programs and encourage a positive and collaborative environment.

• The engineer will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to generate drawings and specifications for electrical systems such as:
  • Electrical power distribution systems (typically 120-480V)
  • Emergency and standby generators systems
  • Short circuit, voltage drop, and coordination and arc flash studies
  • Lighting designs including layouts, photometrics, controls and emergency lighting
  • Fire alarm initiation and notification systems
  • IT & Telephone system layouts
  • Access control, video surveillance, nurse call, intrusion detection, AV, paging/intercom and similar special systems
• The role will additionally be responsible for coordinating physical space constraints with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural and fire protection.
• The role will have the opportunity to learn local and national standards and codes while implementing designs (such as NEC and other NFPA codes).

It is anticipated that the engineer will quickly adapt to the role and will become a key player in working with clients and team members.
