Admin Internship: Events & Operations Intern

Reports To: Director of Operations
Type: Unpaid Internship | Academic Credit Available | Flexible Schedule

Location: Hybrid (Remote + In-Person)

Timeline: One semester (3-4 months), flexible

Eisenhower Dance Detroit is seeking an Events & Operations Intern to support the planning and execution of company events and performances. The Events & Operations Intern is a detail oriented problem solver who enjoys organizing logistics, coordinating moving parts, and contributing to seamless productions behind the scenes.

The Events & Operations Intern will assist in managing the day-to-day tasks that bring events and performances to life, supporting everything from pre-planning to post-event breakdown.

Responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Assist with the coordination of logistics for events and performances
  • Help create and maintain production schedules, timelines, and task lists
  • Support the packing, inventory, and transportation of event supplies
  • Communicate with vendors, volunteers, and guest artists regarding logistics

     

On-Site Event Support

  • Assist with venue set up and break down during load in/load out
  • Provide hands on support during live events and performances
  • Help manage day of timelines, troubleshooting on-site as needed
  • Attend production and staff meetings

     

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Interest in event planning, production, arts administration and operations
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Confident communicator with a proactive mindset
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, collaborative settings
