IT Back Office Co-Op
Summary:
Are you ready to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world application development while earning college credits? The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking a motivated student for a year-long Co-Op position within our Information Technology department.
Key Responsibilities:
As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and developing systems used throughout the Bank, including application analysis, development, testing, and providing assistance to our IT staff. This opportunity will also expand your financial systems knowledge through work on both internally developed applications and vendor-supported platforms.
Requirements:
- Senior working towards a Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science or graduate student in masters of engineering/computer science program
- Strong communication skills
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Detail oriented
- Knowledge of agile/waterfall development practices
- Java stack development knowledge
- MS SQL Server knowledge, including SQL Server Reporting Services and/or SQL Server Integration Services
- Interest in or understanding of financial institutions and financial instruments
- Current students and candidates with a strong interest in application development and who are able to work full-time hours.
