Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Preference will be given to college juniors and seniors; students must complete at least one full year in college as a minimum requirement
- Undergraduate in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Interns must be able to work a minimum of 4 weeks and able to work a minimum of 10 Hr workweek.
- Familiar with academic search engines (SciFinder, Google Scholar, etc.)
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in group settings.
Essential Functions
- Assist materials team in background research related to current projects.
- Conduct material/chemical experimentation in a laboratory setting.
- Conduct literature reviews of scientific journals.
- Compile and present upon project-specific information gathered through literature reviews and laboratory experimentation.
- Contribute to discussions and brainstorming sessions focused on solving materials-centered challenges.
- Report to materials team engineers.
- Attend weekly meetings with the Materials Team.
