Job Overview

The Kids Ministry Intern provides leadership and support to Jersey Church’s Kids Ministry under the direction of the Kids Minister. This role works closely with the Preschool and Elementary Directors, staff, and volunteers to create a dynamic and engaging ministry environment where children and families experience the love of Christ and the mission of the church is carried out.


 

Responsibilities and Duties

The Kids Ministry Intern serves by equipping and enabling others to meaningfully engage in ministry. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in planning and leading worship experiences for Elementary and Preschool.
  • Ensuring classrooms and worship spaces are prepared prior to Sunday mornings.
  • Managing AV/Tech equipment in lobbies and worship spaces.
  • Supporting the planning and execution of major Kids Ministry events (e.g., Vacation Bible School, Family events at the Jersey Park, Care Week, Promotion Sunday).
  • Maintaining organization in the Kids Ministry resource room, classrooms, and kitchens.
  • Helping prepare and distribute curriculum and resources for teachers.
  • Assisting with Kids Ministry website updates, volunteer scheduling and communication.
  • Performing other ministry-related duties as assigned by the Kids Minister or Kids Ministry Directors.


 

Qualifications

  • Experience in Kids Ministry Preferred
  • Administrative Skills
  • Demonstrated the ability to work in teams
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Preferably someone who has a passion for Kids Ministry
  • Must acquire a high energy level and be able to multitask
  • Ability to teach and lead worship in large group settings
