Performance Management Intern

We are currently recruiting for an Performance Management Intern at corporate headquarters in Westerville, OH.

 

Operations Excellence Interns lead projects that support labor productivity/management, LEAN management, and continuous improvement in site operations, while also participating in a formalized Summer Internship Program. The goal of the program is to enhance student’s business acumen through continuous learning and networking opportunities. Throughout the summer, interns have the opportunity to:

•Participate in a series of webinars that focus on professional networking, communication and presentation skills

•Listen and ask questions to our executives through our Executive Speaker Series

•Collaborate with other interns across North America on a Capstone Project

•Travel to Columbus, OH, to present their Capstone Project to leadership at the Intern Capstone Event

•Network with other interns and business leaders across all regions and business segments within the organization

•Be considered for full time roles

 

The scope of projects and daily tasks may include:

•Identify, analyze and implement new processes

•Write and implement new labor standards

•Enhance and implement new continuous improvement tools and processes

•Participate in LEAN management projects

•Propose and implement fact-based enhancements to DHL Supply Chain’s operations

•Drive efficiency and productivity in operating sites

•Improve performance against contracted Key Performance Indicators (Order Accuracy, Picking Accuracy, On-time shipping, Cycle Count Program)

 

Eligibility & Qualifications:

•Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field

•Graduating within the following academic year

•Ability to work full time for 10-12 weeks during the summer months and travel to Columbus, OH in late July
