Development & Marketing Intern

CONCERN is a non-profit human services organization dedicated to providing child welfare, juvenile justice, and behavioral health services to children and their families. The Development & Marketing Intern collaborates with our team throughout all stages of marketing campaigns, has administrative duties in developing and implementing marketing strategies, and provides insightful contributions that help develop, expand, and maintain our marketing channels. This internship will help you acquire marketing skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies within a nonprofit agency setting.
To be eligible, applicants must be currently enrolled in a program that allows them to receive academic credit for the internship.
What Will I Do?
· Assist with the creation and scheduling of social media.
· Assist with data clean-up and updates in database.
· Assist with sponsor and donor contacts and follow-ups.
· Assist with special event planning and logistics for the event.
· Researching and scheduling community presentations.
· Assist with other marketing and fundraising support as needed.
Other Duties & Responsibilities

What Do I Need?
Education/Experience
Undergraduate student majoring in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
Other:
Driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
Required Competencies
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Extensive knowledge of social media.
· Solid understanding of different marketing techniques.
· Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
· Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices.
· The ability for local periodic travel for meetings or events may be necessary.
