Position Overview

The Salon Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of salon operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, maximizing revenue opportunities, and fostering a thriving team culture. This role blends business leadership, creative vision, and operational management to ensure the salon’s continued growth and premium positioning in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Recruit, train, and mentor stylists and support staff to align with brand values.

Lead with inspiration and accountability, setting performance standards and goals.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional salon culture.

Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and training sessions.

Client Experience & Service Excellence

Ensure every client receives a premium, moisture-focused experience.

Oversee guest relations, ensuring exceptional service and conflict resolution when needed.

Monitor feedback and implement improvements to enhance client satisfaction.

Develop strategies to increase client retention and referral business.

Business & Revenue Growth

Drive service and retail sales, setting and monitoring targets.

Implement promotions, loyalty programs, and seasonal campaigns.

Oversee inventory, retail displays, and product education for staff.

Collaborate with marketing to build visibility and attract new clientele.

Operations & Systems Management

Manage scheduling, staff coverage, and daily salon operations.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Monitor budgets, track KPIs, and report on financial performance.

Implement efficient booking, point-of-sale, and client management systems.

Brand & Community Engagement

Represent the salon at industry events, community initiatives, and partnerships.

Uphold the salon’s premium, culturally empowering identity in all interactions.

Collaborate with ownership on strategic growth initiatives, including wholesale and education opportunities.

Lead initiatives that strengthen the salon’s brand presence in the community.

Qualifications

Proven leadership experience in salon, spa, or luxury retail management.

Strong business acumen with ability to meet/exceed revenue goals.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Passion for natural hair, healthy haircare, and cultural empowerment.

Ability to coach, inspire, and hold teams accountable.

Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
