Overview
We are looking to contract with a highly motivated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve students in Polk County Public Schools. The provider will deliver in-person therapy services during school hours, supporting students’ communication needs across a range of disorders and eligibility categories.
Duties
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and re-evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with district, state, and federal standards.
- Provide direct therapy in one‑on‑one or small‑group sessions to students across elementary, middle, and high school.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and progress.
- Maintain compliance with school district and state policies and procedures
- Participate at IEP meetings and parent conferences.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in school settings is a plus.
- A passion for providing exceptional patient care and improving communication abilities in individuals.
- Familiarity with IEP development, compliance requirements, and special education procedures
- Experience with a variety of communication disorders, including language delays, articulation, fluency, and AAC
- Clinical Fellows (CFs) with strong pediatric practicum experience will be considered and supported
