Governor's Management Fellowship

The Governor’s Management Fellowship is a prestigious and highly competitive two-year Fellowship awarded to top applicants who wish to serve and learn with Tennessee’s top executives. This non-partisan program is open to recent college graduates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and a passion for public service. 

The Fellowship begins August 2026 and is led by Customer Focused Government, the State’s internal consulting office that supports the Governor’s Office and all executive branch agencies. In line with the mission and vision of Customer Focused Government, Fellows will work on projects and initiatives that improve customer service, foster strategy development, and advance operational efficiency. 

Based on personal interests and skillset, Fellows will work with departmental leadership to identify opportunities for impactful projects that will improve state operations.

Applicants must:

• Have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program or completed a public service opportunity (i.e. military service, Teach for America, etc.) between December 2024 and August 2026. 

• Demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership ability, and show involvement in extracurricular activities. 

• Display a passion for public service.
