Audit Internship

Hood & Strong LLP is is a reputable and dynamic public accounting firm known for delivering high-quality audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse client base. We offer an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to join our team as Audit Interns for a short-term, intensive 2-week internship program. The micro-internship will take place for the last two weeks of June 2026 in our San Francisco office.

As an Audit Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of public accounting, specifically in the area of audit and assurance services. This two-week program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the audit process, formal on-the-job training to develop technical skills, and insight into the inner workings of our firm. You will work closely with experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and engage in interactive learning sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems, employees, company values and industry-related GAAP and GAAS issues.
  • Becomes familiar with the Firm's policies, procedures, manuals, forms and relevant software.
  • Commitment to developing technical and industry knowledge through personal reading, research, coursework, etc.
  • Keep supervisor apprised of work status and technical issues arising.
  • Build successful relationships with Hood & Strong personnel.
  • Engage in professional development sessions to enhance your understanding of audit methodology, industry regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters program in Accounting required (GPA of 3.0 or above preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills a must
  • Ambition to learn and grow with the firm
  • The ability to work in a professional team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
