What you’ll do
- As a R&D Process Engineering Intern for brands like all, Persil, Snuggle, Purex, Dial or our assorted beauty brands, you will:
- Apply classroom knowledge in a hands-on, real-world setting to support process development and engineering projects within the Adhesive Technologies business unit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D teams - including product development, analytical, and packaging - as well as supply chain partners throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Contribute to the design, optimization, or scale-up of manufacturing processes that meet critical quality specifications for new or existing adhesive products.
- Participate in innovation and cost-saving initiatives with the potential to see your work implemented in commercial products.
- Build your professional network by engaging with colleagues across various roles and departments to explore potential career paths.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the role process engineering plays in the development and commercialization of consumer-packaged goods.
What makes you a good fit
- A rising junior or senior graduating in 2027 or 2028 pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or other relevant Engineering field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience in undergraduate research or similar hands-on technical work, demonstrating initiative and curiosity.
- Agile learner with a strong work ethic and the ability to quickly adapt to new tools, data sets, and technical challenges.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude and a drive to contribute meaningfully to team goals.
- Solid project planning and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient in laboratory practices, including safety compliance, accurate record keeping, and sound experimental technique.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, documentation, and presentations.

- This internship is eligible for a housing stipend or relocation support.
- Henkel’s Summer 2026 internship program starts on May 27th, 2026, and runs through mid-August.
- Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled.

The salary for this role is $22-$27/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.
