USDA - Communications Intern
The Communications Intern will have the unique opportunity to assist the Communications team at the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, KS on external and internal communications efforts as they work to stand up the first biosafety level-4 facility of its kind in the nation.
The student must be a strong communicator (written and oral), highly detail oriented, and have a natural ability to multitask and stay organized. Additionally, the student ideally has experience: • Writing, editing, and proofreading content for various audiences. • Creating engaging presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint. • Designing basic graphics in Adobe Creative Cloud or other design programs. • Posting content on social media platforms, such as X and LinkedIn, in order to educate others or market events. • Locating and analyzing data on social media platforms to improve results. • Planning and coordinating events.
