Scientist and Engineer Intern

Air Force and Space Force civilian leaders in engineering and scientific positions play a direct role in developing the tools and technologies that deter complex national security threats.

We are seeking current undergraduate students to be trained in the science and engineering career field to fill positions around the country. Scientist and Engineer play a central role in maintaining Air Force and Space Force superiority in air, space, and cyberspace. We are working on the cutting edge of research and development in advanced Air Force and Space Force laboratories and dedicated facilities around the country. We develop, deliver, test, and sustain war-winning capabilities.

During your internship, you will work shoulder to shoulder with the Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) scientists and engineers across the globe on challenging and rewarding projects, where you will make real contributions and gain invaluable real-world experience.

 

PCIP Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Full-time undergraduate student (sophomore or junior with at least 60 credits) or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in STEM-related fields
  • GPA 2.95 or above
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance funded by the Department of the Air Force (e.g., Background check)
