Associate Project Manager

Position Overview

Position Title: Associate Project Manager
Department: Project Management
Location: Midwest (PMJ) and Great Lakes (MISO-N) regions
Home Office: Central Ohio (Pickerington, OH)
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

We are seeking an entry level Associate Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting project management activities across multiple electrical transmission and distribution projects in a dynamic environment. This role requires a beginning but growing expertise in project management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 0-4 years of relevant industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s degree or higher in engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management or similar field of study.
  • Experience: 0-5 years of relevant experience

Required Certifications and Licenses

  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) - PMI or willingness to get within 24 months of employment.

Desired Certifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to ensure project success
  • Assist with budget management and cost control activities

  • Assist with construction management activities
  • Support/Lead field operations and commissioning activities
  • Contribute to staff management and team coordination
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and project management methodologies
