- Develop content strategy targeting volunteers aged 22 to 82, showing how anyone can “be a Food Rescue Hero.”
- Create and coordinate short-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels) using footage from volunteers and rescues.
- Launch a campaign that continues 6–8 months beyond your internship, building sustainable momentum.
- Manage content to WPE’s social media accounts (posting, responding, tracking engagement).
- Report weekly progress and brainstorm ideas with mentor support.
✅ Qualifications
- Undergraduate student or recent graduate (Marketing, Communications, Media, Nonprofit Management, or related fields preferred).
- Strong knowledge of TikTok and Instagram, with experience creating short-form video content.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Self-starter with creativity, independence, and strong follow-through.
- Passion for social impact, sustainability, or hunger relief.
💡 What You’ll Gain
- Hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, campaign design, and social media management.
- A portfolio of digital campaigns and video content with measurable results.
- Direct mentorship from a seasoned media industry executive.
- Potential industry introductions to help with post-graduation job searches (based on performance).
- A meaningful role in tackling food insecurity and reducing waste.
💵 Compensation
- This is an unpaid internship, but upon successful completion you will receive a stipend of $1,000–$2,000 (based on performance and commitment).
📅 Application Details
- Internship runs 16 weeks (Sept–Dec 2025) with flexible hours.
- Applications reviewed on a rolling basis; early application encouraged.
