
Marketing Intern
We’re seeking a motivated and creative college marketing student to join our team as a part-time Marketing Intern. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience in a variety of marketing functions, including digital marketing, content creation, and campaign support. You'll work closely with the Marketing Director and gain exposure to the strategy and execution of real marketing campaigns in the financial industry. This role is part-time, with flexibility around class schedules, and has the potential to evolve into a full-time Marketing Assistant position after graduation.
JOB DUTIES
DAILY
1. Meet with Marketing Director to confirm daily assignments and exchange updates on projects in the pipeline
2. Perform manual data entry and respond to occasional client/prospect email inquiries
3. Assist with social media planning, content ideas, and post scheduling
4. Help resize and edit graphics and short-form videos using tools like Canva, etc.
5. Organize marketing assets and maintain clean folders of video/photo content
6. Contribute to and follow-through on new marketing ideas
WEEKLY
1. Assist in creating and editing email communications and newsletters
2. Support Marketing Director by tracking and reporting new leads weekly
3. Review marketing focus with team during weekly marketing meeting
MONTHLY
1. Help coordinate webinars and assistance with presentation decks
2. Assist with calendar management for video recording of new content for distribution to clients and prospects.
3. Support website content updates / audits (checking links, readability, consistency)
4. Conduct basic competitor research and contribute to marketing strategies
KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn • Creative mindset with a passion for digital media • Familiarity with social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) • Some experience using Canva, CapCut, or similar tools a plus • Reliable, professional, and interested in long-term career growth • Team-player mindset and strong accountability a must Skills • Graphic Design a plus (Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Canva, etc.) • Ability to write Copy and proofread • Understanding HTML Code a plus Minimum Requirements • High School Degree • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar • Excellent communication skills and conflict resolution abilities a must • Ability to prioritize projects, manage time, multi-task and meet deadlines • Knowledge of computers / software with advanced social media understanding • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite • Basic understanding of CRMs and email platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo or similar) preferred • 1+ Years prior experience working in financial industry a plus Additional Duties Marketing Collateral Management: • Offer help creating marketing materials, including presentations, white papers, commentaries, and other promotional and eductional items • Help facilitate day-to-day operations of project management, including scheduling, compliance, digital marketing, etc. • Review of Marketing Collateral Campaign Marketing: • Help develop campaigns that build awareness and brand recognition • Work with subject matter experts to produce cohesive campaign content • Assist with various marketing channels to help measure campaign success Website, E-Marketing & Social Media: • Help develop campaigns to promote products and firm initiatives through electronic mediums such as email, webinars, etc. 5. Help prepare, plan, and follow-up on client events 6. Attend occasional company-wide meetings, client events and team building events• Help contribute to website content on an ongoing basis to ensure consistent messaging for key products positioning Public Relations: • Be a secondary contact with external vendors and maintain a positive relationship and image of our company
