Administrative Support Assistant

The Michigan Department of Treasury is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable General Office Assistant to join the Bureau of Tax Policy. This position plays a role in supporting the Bureau’s operations by providing comprehensive administrative and clerical assistance to the Bureau and its team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office duties, including typing, answering phones, and proofreading.
  • Manage incoming correspondence and route materials appropriately. 
  • Handle correspondence and documents which are sensitive and confidential in nature.
  • Schedule meetings and maintain calendars.
  • Assist with special projects and reports as needed.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions and take necessary actions.
