Business Operations and Strategy Analyst

Role Overview:
The Business Operations & Strategy Analyst is a critical member of our team, driving efficiency, scalability, and financial discipline across the business. This role combines finance, operations, and systems-thinking to ensure Yaza is positioned for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finance & Analysis
    • Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. 
    • Track and analyze key business metrics (sales, trade spend, margins, logistics costs).
    • Build dashboards and reporting tools to support data-driven decisions.
  • Operational Strategy
    • Partner with founders to design and implement scalable systems and processes.
    • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve efficiency across supply chain, logistics, and inventory.
    • Manage cross-functional projects that connect finance, sales, and operations.
  • Systems & Tools
    • Own and optimize internal systems (ERP, CRM, analytics dashboards, etc.).
    • Ensure clean data management and reporting consistency across departments.
    • Train team members on system best practices.
  • Execution & Leadership
    • Support negotiations with vendors, distributors, and service providers.
    • Assist in trade show and retail execution planning from a systems/ops perspective.
    • Act as a bridge between finance, sales, and operations teams to keep projects on track.
  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with Excel, Quickbooks and AI automation softwares
    • Excellent communicator and natural systems thinker.
    • Comfortable in a startup environment — proactive, adaptable, and hands-on.
