Editorial Journalist
Position Overview:
We are seeking an editorial journalist with a passion for writing, storytelling, and an understanding of technical subjects such as cybersecurity, data analytics, AI, or cloud computing. This role sits at the intersection of journalism and marketing—ideal for someone who can research and write high-quality content that informs, persuades, and builds trust with professional audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write feature articles, case studies, white papers, blogs, and social media content on technical topics (e.g., cybersecurity, compliance, AI, cloud services, data privacy).
- Collaborate with marketing, strategy, and subject matter experts to align content with campaign objectives and audience needs.
- Conduct interviews with current customers, business partners, and current team members of FedHIVE to develop material for marketing purposes, education, and informational purposes.
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, tone, style, and accuracy.
- Stay current with industry trends, news, and developments to inform content strategy and identify new angles.
- Translate technical or niche topics into accessible, engaging narratives for non-technical readers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed or currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. (required).
- Strong writing portfolio demonstrating the ability to produce high-quality written content (please provide writing sample of technical subject for non-technical readers).
- Exceptional research and interviewing skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and work collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to work with others.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Business to Business (B2B) or enterprise technology content.
- Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), content performance metrics, or Content Management System (CMS) platforms.
- Basic understanding of data analysis, cybersecurity, AI/ML, or cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of Social Media platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, X (aka Twitter))
- 2–5 years of professional experience in journalism, content writing, or content marketing.
- Proven ability to write about technical topics with clarity and authority.
