
Assembly Fellowship Program
One of four nationally recognized Capital Fellows Programs, The Assembly Fellowship Program is one of the nation’s oldest and most prestigious fellowships. Founded in 1957, the Assembly Fellowship Program offers Fellows the opportunity to serve as paid full-time legislative staff in the office of a California State Assemblymember working in a dynamic legislative environment. The program offers aspiring public servants of diverse backgrounds and experiences the unique opportunity to directly participate in the legislative process and shape public policy.
Applications must be submitted by the deadline of Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
Applicants must submit the following by the application deadline:
- Completed online application
- Personal statement
- Policy statement
- Resume
- College transcript(s)
- A list of three individuals who will write letters of recommendation
Recommenders must submit letters of recommendation by the deadline of Monday, December 15th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
