Employment Consultant
Holly Ridge Center is seeking an Employment Consultant (30-40 hrs/week). This position provides job development, job placement, case management, and on-the-job support, ensuring that our client population of adults with disabilities receives job opportunities in the competitive job market. Our Employment Consultants also supervise and train adult clients in competitive employment and volunteer training opportunities.
Holly Ridge Center is a nonprofit organization offering highly specialized programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. Founded in 1963, we have continuously offered support, guidance, education and highly specialized programs and services in Kitsap and North Mason Counties. Required Education, Training, and/or Work Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Two-year Associate's or four-year Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in related field OR four (4) years of related experience, OR equivalent combination of schooling and experience preferred
- Minimum two (2) years work experience working with people with disabilities required
- Case management experience required
- Certificate in Employment Services preferred, additional 2 years of experience accepted in lieu of certification
- Experience or training in fiscal monitoring preferred
- Sales experience or cold calling skills preferred
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Ability to pass a criminal history background check
- Valid Washington State driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of required personal liability automobile insurance
- Must have clean WA State driver's license
- Valid Washington State food worker card within first 90 days of employment is required
- CPR/1st Aid Certification within first 90 days of employment is required
Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
- Case management experience required
- Experience with Client Resource Management system, adaptive technology, and video resume preferred
- Special consideration is given to candidates with a National Certificate in Employment Services
- Strong computer skills -working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Zoom required
- Ability and experience working respectfully and positively with a widely diverse population
- Knowledge, use, and interpretations of assessment skills required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
